I have two cats. I feed them wet food once in the morning and once at night. They always have dry food down. I make sure the feeding area is kept clean. I clean the litter box often and sweep or vacuum when cleaning the litter box. I have one Guinea Pig that just would have to be checked on. May need food halfway through the week and water.
