We are likely going to travel to the mainland for up to a month to repair some things there and need someone to watch our 4-year-old great dane. He is a very nice well-behaved big dog. He is constantly around our small cat and toddler without issues, he is scared of normal sized or bigger cats, isn't aggressive to other dogs, doesn't chase chickens when out in the yard with them, doesn't even scare pigeons away when they're eating his food in front of him (in fact we have found the pigeons perched on top of him) and when fostering kittens they would try to nurse and bite his ears but he wouldn't do anything). He sleeps or otherwise lays down most of the time. He is also fine staying out in the yard with shade and water. He is the low-energy version of Scooby Doo. Big, yes, but much less of a bother than every other dog Ive seen in person.
