My cat is a long haired calico. She likes to lay on her back and scratch, kind of like a puppers. Because of this, the fur on her back has become matted. I have a comb but she is done after 15/20 seconds. I am to the point of shaving all of her fur off, or a good portion, and starting over. I think the fur on her back will have to be shaved.
