My dog is reactive, has a resource guarding problem, and isn't particularly friendly with new people. He has never bit anyone, but I'm viable to think he may if provoked. So, as a safer course of action, I think it's safe to say that it's better for him to not be around other dogs. He's very stubborn; If he doesn't want to get up, he will growl. To combat that, you just have to put a leash on him and he'll get up as normal. My cat is decently friendly, but obviously will need to get acquainted. She has a problem with using the litter box: If it isn't decently clean, she will refuse to use it and use the bathroom somewhere else. Other than that, she's pretty normal compared to most cats I've known.
