About the job
Meet with the family of an enthusiastic male Golden Retriever who seeks a 2x-daily dog walker. Our immediate need is for 3 weeks of twice-daily walks from December 1-20, with the possibility of a more extended arrangement. Doted on at home, this furry guy loves to please and needs a strong hand. His size, exuberance, and lack of consistent training have made it risky for his people to walk him. While not aggressive, he is protective, with a history of lunging at other large dogs. We seek someone who is reliable, sociable with the dog's people and neighbors, and able to gently and firmly control a big dog who needs clear communication about acceptable and safe walking behaviors. He often enjoys half-hour walks around a hilly, scenic neighborhood, one between 9 and 10 AM, another around 3 or 4 p.m. Scheduling is negotiable.
