We are actively recruiting a Head of Housekeeping to maintain properties located on Hilton Head Island. To be successful in this position, one must have in-depth knowledge of, and focus on, residential hospitality and service. Additionally, this individual must be well-organized and possess excellent time management skills. Ability, and experience, to manage staff in the housekeeping department. Positive attitude, team mentality, flexibility and motivated personality. Responsibilities Supervise a team of housekeepers and collaborate with other estate staff Open and prepare the house each day, ensuring all areas, including bedrooms and guest rooms, are pristine Perform daily bedroom and bathroom servicing, and refreshing toiletries and linen/terry Ensure cleanliness throughout the estate with daily and deep cleaning projects Monitor the property for maintenance needs and coordinate with the Estate Manager on-site Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies, dry goods, and other often used items, and oversee storage Assist with packing/unpacking the Principals, coordinating with other staff to ensure travel items are packed Requirements Proven experience in housekeeping for a large estate Proven experience leading a housekeeping team including Housekeepers and Housemen Strong independent working ability, proactive mindset, passionate about service and hospitality Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication, teamwork and a welcoming demeanor Discretion and confidentiality in handling family affairs and sensitive information with an understanding of the nuances of high-profile environments-Desire to work, hands-on, and be a part of a very active team
