Title: House Manager & Meal Prep Employment Type: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: ASAP (Preferably early May) Compensation: $32+/hour based on experience Requirements: Non-smoker, pass background check, proof of vaccinations (flu, COVID), must speak English, tech-proficient, close proximity to Upper West Side. Proposed Schedule: Monday-Thursday, ideally 2:00 PM - 6:00/7:00 PM We are a busy family of three (including our one-year-old), seeking a patient, organized, and communicative House Manager to support with light cleaning, meal prep, laundry, and pet care. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our family and our parent, who is the primary caretaker for our son, to ensure the household runs smoothly. We are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible, enjoys organization, and can take initiative. The role requires a reliable and self-sufficient individual who is comfortable following instructions, asking questions when necessary, and managing tasks independently. Key Responsibilities: Meal Preparation: -Plan and prep healthy, halal meals (no pork), and some baking, for the family. -Ensure meals align with family preferences (healthy, fresh, and simple). -Grocery shopping for meal ingredients and pantry staples. -Following recipes from sources like the NYT (provided by family). -Help with the meal planning process. -Light Household Cleaning & Organization: -Maintain cleanliness in high-use areas: surfaces under high chair, wipe counters/surfaces, clean kitchen surfaces (stovetop, microwave, dining table), and wet mop floors. -Tidy up baby toys and organize the living space as needed. -Manage the dishwasher: load, unload, and ensure it is functioning. -Maintain home systems, such as organizing household supplies and kitchen management. -Wipe and tidy bathrooms. Pet Care: -Care for our small, friendly dog: refill water/food, maintain the dog's food schedule, occasional walks, and playtime. Laundry & Folding: -Handle household laundry, including folding, putting away, and ensuring clothing is ready for the family's needs. Errands & Household Tasks: -Run local errands: picking up mail, packages, dry cleaning, etc. -Take out garbage and recycling. -Water indoor plants on schedule. Additional Responsibilities: Assist with organizing special projects and maintaining systems for the family. Create new organizational systems as needed (e.g., maintaining baby toys).
