About Our Family: We are a busy family in South Orange, NJ (07079), with two teenage boys (15 and 13 years old) requiring after school pick ups and transport to sports 3-4 nights a week, as well as 2 small dogs needing regular walks : We're looking for a trustworthy, proactive, and warm House Manager & Family Assistant to help with daily household tasks, transportation for the kids, and light meal prep. Someone who is a self-starter, organized, and comfortable taking initiative will thrive in this role. ____ Title: House Manager & Family Assistant Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week) Proposed Start Date: Late April Compensation: $30-$40+/hour, flexible based on experience Requirements: - Non-smoker - Pass background check - COVID vaccinated - Reliable transportation to/from home (family car available for work-related errands) Proposed Schedule: - Monday - Friday, 12:30 PM - 5:30 PM (or 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM) - Flexibility to adjust hours as needed --- Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization: - Oversee mail sorting and system to manage important documents. - Assist with tidying, light organization, and decluttering (cleaners come regularly). - Support house maintenance projects as needed (e.g., coordinating minor repairs). - Manage miscellaneous household tasks to keep everything running smoothly. Transportation & Child Support: - School pick-ups in the afternoon (At 2:45 PM and around 4:30-5:00 PM). - Assist with homework routines and encourage structure after school. - Drive to sports practices/games as needed. Pet Care: - Walk two small dogs daily. - Ensure they are fed and taken care of during working hours. Errands & Household Tasks: - Grocery shopping and keeping household essentials stocked. - Laundry & folding (clothes, linens, towels). - Occasional returns, post office runs, and other errands.
