About the job
This caring family of 2 is seeking an organized, kind, and creative Housekeeper-Household Manager to stay with them long-term. Duties include: deep clean and maintain the 4, 000 square foot home, dust, vacuum, sweep, clean the kitchen, clean the bathrooms, do the dishes, change light bulbs, be able to carry a 5 gallon water jug from garage to kitchen, laundry, change/wash sheets, iron sheets and occasionally iron some clothing items, take out the garbage, plant care (including watering outdoor plants), grocery shopping/running errands, and cleaning pet areas (they have 2 parakeets and a bunny: no interaction needed with the animals--just changing bird seed and cleaning bottom of cages occasionally), and occasionally taking pets to the vet (they will put the animals in the cages/to the car so the Housekeeper-Household Manager does not have to). One person works from home (most of the time-but does travel: candidate must be comfortable if they are in/or out of the home). The adult daughter will be in/out of the home at times. The ideal candidate will be personable, empathetic, and a self-starter. This is a part-time position for 3 days and 15 hours per week Work days and hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10am-3 p.m. (NOTE: they can be somewhat flexible on the days and start/end times) NOTE: Housekeeper-Household Manager must be an experienced driver. You will need to use your own car to run errands and will be reimbursed for mileage. They have a bunny and 2 birds.
