We have a one story home with hardwood floors, and lots of dog hair. We typically only use our master bed/bathroom and the common areas which include another bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. We basically just need someone to vacuum the floors, clean the two bathrooms we use and launder the bed linens and couch covers. That's two hours of work at the most when I do it personally. I'm willing to pay for an extra hour of work to just look around and clean what needs it. When we have guests, there will be a second bedroom/bathroom to clean.
