We are able to keep up cleaning most of the time. However, once a month we need a little more then we are able to do. We have all equipment needed and can have cleaning items on hand so you will not have to carry things down stairs. We have indoor outdoor carpet in the bathroom. So about every 3 months we like it to be shampooed. We also have a carpet shampooer.
