About the job
Think of the standard condition of the house as the goal. Once a week, someone should come (preferably on Monday) and return the house to that standard condition. This means vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, moping, washing dishes if any are unwashed, doing laundry (in baskets in each room - none on floor), cleanout refrigerator of left overs, box/pile clutter (loose papers or school work piled on counter, or random screws/bolts and tools put in box/pile on counter). Every other visit, bedding is washed and beds made. I have washing machine and dryer and laundry detergent available. Additionally, counters cleaned/wiped, spills cleaned, over top cleaned, counters and cabinets inspected and wiped/cleaned where necessary.
