Our clients are a busy family with a beautiful residence in the UES of NYC. They are looking to hire a professional and experienced Lead Housekeeper. This individual will work alongside their existing team (Housekeeper, Nanny, and Driver) to ensure the family's house is beautifully maintained.
This is a hands-on cleaning role for a professional who works well independently and can help train a hard-working and less experienced colleague. The successful candidate happily attends to the principals' preferences, has impeccable standards, and can manage multiple projects.
An individual with a cheerful and quiet disposition who enjoys taking complete care of the residence and steps-in to help as needed will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for the daily and deep cleaning for the home
Care for fine materials and finishes, including silver, wood, china, crystal, art, etc.
Oversee, coach, and work alongside a junior Housekeeper
Manage Food and Beverage inventory for the home (groceries and fridge rotation).
Prepare simple dinners for the children 4 days/week.
Complete organizational projects
Manage all household laundry tasks.
Run errands
Serve and/or assist with events
Assist with pet care (one well-trained dog)
A willingness to travel to the Hamptons (one month in the summer) is highly appreciated.
Qualifications:
Well-rounded skillset and possess exceptional cleaning and laundry knowledge.
Prior experience working as a Housekeeper in a private home or in high-end luxury hospitality.
Comfortable working in a busy home with four school-aged children and a friendly, well-trained dog.
Must be a self-starter who enjoys supporting a family.
Quiet and personable. Able to read the room.
Valid driver's license
Able to help in the Hamptons for one month each summer preferred.
Schedule:
This is a full-time, year-round position. Generally, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with flexibility required.
Compensation:
Compensation of $40 - 45+ per hour offered, depending on experience and qualifications, benefits include a healthcare stipend.
