A private family in West Los Angeles seeks an experienced and detail-oriented full-time Housekeeper to provide housekeeping support for this secondary residence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working in private homes, bringing warmth, professionalism, and dedication to the role. This individual will be a team-oriented self-starter who takes initiative and consistently upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service. A positive demeanor, polished presentation, and a passion for maintaining a well-kept home are essential.
This position requires flexibility, with a general schedule of Monday to Friday from approximately 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and flexibility to adjust hours as needed while principals are in residence. The housekeeping team also rotates one weekend day when principals are in residence. When the principals are not in residence, schedules are typically more flexible, providing opportunities for earlier starts and finishes. Key responsibilities include daily cleaning, laundry, assisting with event preparation, and maintaining readiness for guest arrivals. A love for cooking and preparing light meals is a plus but not required. A background in hospitality or service is also a plus, though not required. A willingness to learn and adapt are highly valued.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform all aspects of daily cleaning, tidying, organizing, and general housekeeping, including scheduled and seasonal deep cleaning during downtimes, while consistently upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and organization to ensure principal and guest readiness throughout the year
Assist with home organization including but not limited to closets, storage, and staff areas
Provide laundry assistance as needed including washing laundry, ironing clothes, doing minor garment repairs, and manage dry-cleaning items
Maintain and organize the principals' wardrobes
Handle special projects as assigned by the House Manager
Assist with inventory and stocking, including reporting
Assist with food and beverage service as needed
Maintain readiness for hosting events, including assisting with food and drink service and guest-related tasks
Consistently scan the home to ensure tidiness, cleanliness, and organization report any damage and needs for repair to the House Manager
Change bed linens and bathroom towels daily/weekly or as specified by principal
Run and empty the dishwasher
Assist with guest care during their stay and support special events as needed
Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as requested by the family
