Private Bay Area family seeks positive, hardworking, and dedicated full-time Junior Housekeeper to successfully work alongside their team-oriented domestic staff. The schedule consists of 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, roughly an eight-hour day. While the family is in residence, the candidate must have flexibility to work longer hours as needed. This Housekeeper is responsible for working collaboratively as a team to maintain the residence with exceptional cleanliness, detail, and organization. The ideal candidate will be reliable, take initiative, be service oriented, and take direction from an Executive Housekeeper. This position will report to the Estate Manager.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
All aspects of general housekeeping, deep cleaning, organizing, and upkeep of the residence including seasonal and scheduled tasks
Maintain cleanliness and organization of both indoor and outdoor of residence
Consistently maintain the highest level of standards of service and overall efficiency of the residence
Thoroughly cleaning included but not limited to: sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets and rugs, clean all surfaces including sinks, toilets, stoves and ovens, remove spider webs
Perform seasonal deep cleaning projects assigned by House Manager
Change bed linens and bathroom towels daily/weekly or as specified by principal
Consistently scan home to ensure tidiness, cleanliness, and organization, report any damage and needs for repair to the Estate Manager
Run and empty dishwasher
Polish silver and other metal surfaces
Assist with setup and clean up for meal service as needed
Organize bookshelves, counters, cabinets, closets, and all other areas under guidance/request of Principals and/or Estate Manager
Wash laundry, iron clothes, do minor garment repairs, handle dry-cleaning items
Check light bulbs and report if needed for replacement
Replenish supplies around the home including dish soap, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and employers' personal use items etc.
Work with Estate Manager on special projects and events as needed
Assist with guest's care during their stay
Assist with household inventories, communicate the need for items' replacement to Executive Housekeeper
Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family
