The house has two floors and we have pets (2 cats and 2 dogs). The cats will hide during cleaning, the dogs are friendly goldendoodles that are excited to see you and well settle after a minute or two. We won't be able to keep the dogs outside always while you clean, so preferred if you don't have issues with dogs.
