It will take several months to get the house clean. Because my husband and I were taking care of his elderly parents 2 1/2 hours away, we did not have time to sweep or mop for three years. That's an example of how bad things got. The house might be somewhat hoarded, but I had a crew come out and take a lot of stuff away in June. I am now back working full time, and I want a clean house. My suggestion is that we work on one room at a time, front to back, to get the house clean. Then, my husband and I will have to start working on needed repairs. For that reason, we'll need someone to keep coming back to clean up after contractors finish various jobs and to keep the house clean in general.
