About the job
A is a highly active 4. 5 yr old, he will be starting 4K on Sept 3 and will be going to school M-Th full days. So there will probably be additional days for school holidays, can be discussed and set up. Job would entail play time and some education time with A. Education time would entail working on handwriting, fine motor skills, reading. Working on things that are being taught in school. He would need lunch given. He is still taking naps, but with starting 4K that will probably change. Our family consists of Patrick and Me as parents, A, 2 new kittens, and an African Grey. Patrick is in the Army Reserve, as his secondary career. He enjoys anything military related, keeping the house in shape, family. He is not one to sit when things need to be done. Erika (me) I am a home health Occupational Therapist. I love books, cats, advancing and advocating A needs and growth. I love my family. A is very passionate about everything!!! He absolutely loves animals, he could probably teach most people about things they don't know about animals!! He loves dinosaurs, playing with his cars, loves books (just need to get him to read). A is very full of energy, tends to bounce between activities. When trying to teach him new things (words, writing, reading, riding bike) he can be resistant since it is new and hard, but with patience and persistence he masters tasks. His newest passion is our 2 new kittens!!!! That unlike our old cat we just put down, these 2 kitties will play with him!!! He loves tablet time (only 1 hour on weekdays) and tv, but need to limit so he can do other things. A needs assist with all types of writing skills, reading, riding his trike. Budgeting time so he is not stuck on one thing, and that he is not fluttering from task to task. Patience!!! Energy!!! Zest for life. Caregiver needs to be BLS trained. Needs to be creative. Comfortable with kitties, not be afraid of the African Grey (she is in a cage and stays in the cage). We are in a neighborhood setting, so have a driveway, street parking, and I believe there is bus stop. We have 2 new cats (domestic short hair orange tabbies) who are high energy!!! We have an African Grey - not to be touched - she is picky about who goes in her cage and can bite.
