We have an almost 1-year-old daughter with no specific special needs. She was born premature but has been consistently hitting developmental milestones. We both work as healthcare professionals with one of us working 1-3 days a week and the other working 3-4 days a week, only during the weekdays. It is difficult when there is only one of us at home to get things done around the house, whether it is housekeeping, cooking, and general errands as our daughter has entered a clingier stage of her development. She is active, alert, and goes to other people easily. We had tried daycare, but she got sick immediately followed by bilateral ear infections. She is healthy now. Having an extra hand to be available when we are home or not would be extremely helpful in improving our current support system.
