We are seeking a medical nanny to care for our 2-year-old daughter with severe spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy at our home. The hours would be roughly 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon-Fri, but can be somewhat flexible. Experience caring for medically complex children is desired, as she requires tube feeding, frequent suctioning, and occasional oxygen use. She also receives physical, occupational, and speech therapy daily and her caregiver would be expected to support those activities. Despite her motor challenges, she is active & very bright. Her caregiver would be expected to assist her throughout the day to help her walk, play, and learn (She knows colors, shapes, and many vocabulary words. She can vocalize, but for the most part communicates by pressing buttons). A competitive salary is offered. Candidates with a nursing degree are preferred.
