The Gig:
The Operations Assistant Manager will be a key team player for our manager and leadership team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations at Wonder. This will include assessing the overall end-to-end customer experience, ensuring our team is prepared and the experience (including interacting with play stations, messaging, checking-in, retail, etc) are top notch.
Customer Experience & Retail: The operations assistant manager will work the floor, alongside our Wonderers, to greet and support customers, enhance customers' experience. This includes activities such as -check-in, helping parents understand the purpose behind play stations and how to complete the activities, resetting and organizing the stations, retail sales, answering questions, etc. A detailed eye to ensure cleanliness, station reset, capacity guidelines are followed, and our overall customer experience is top notch is required.
Maintaining the Experience: Periodic checks during shifts are completed so that all customers have the same experience at each station whether they are the first through the doors or last. The assistant manager will ensure the space is orderly, clean, and purposeful.
Timely & Responsible: Arriving on time for shifts and completing full shifts, to include opening and closing shifts, is a non-negotiable expectation. A demonstrated history of being an accountable employee is required. Interested in early childhood education and development: The right applicant will be interested in early childhood development and comfortable engaging and communicating with customers of all ages, including caregivers.
Physical Requirements: Wonder is located in a historic building, with several sets of stairs. Wonderers are expected to be able to scale steps, set up stations, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Hours & Compensation: This is a non-exempt role, 20-40 hours per week, with hourly pay based on experience with opportunity for bonuses & an inclusive work culture.
Must be available to work before, after, and during core store hours: Monday (Closed) and Tuesday - Sunday: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Starting from $18.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Expected hours: 30-40 per week, must be able to work weekdays AND evening shifts
