J. Is a 10-year-old boy who lives with his maternal grandmother after his mother passed away last year and his father is incarcerated. J. 17-year-old brother also lives in the home. He wakes up around 6:30 a.m. and takes the bus to school at 8:00 a.m. He normally eats breakfast at school. Care is not always needed to get him off to school. Typical hours are 2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. He returns home from school at 3:40 and has a light snack. He sometimes has homework typical for a 4th grader. He likes to play outside, jump on the trampoline, and has friends his own age in the neighborhood. He likes to play games on tablet/phone but also likes board games such as chess. He is bright and enjoys being intellectually challenged. J. begins his bedtime routine around 8:30 p.m. and sleeps in his own by 9:00 p.m.
