Location: Fairfax, VA Children: 7-week-old Compensation: $30-$40/hr Schedule: 40 guaranteed hrs/week, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm Description: A kind and loving family in Fairfax, VA is on the lookout for an experienced and dependable nanny to care for their sweet 7-week-old son (who will be about 16 weeks when the job begins). Their little boy loves to be held and snuggled as much as possible! Mom is mainly feeding with formula bottles and occasionally breastfeeding. Born three weeks early, he is thriving beautifully and steadily gaining weight. Mom and Dad are seeking a loving, safety-conscious nanny to provide exceptional care for their precious little one. They deeply value individuals who are kind, dependable, and hard-working. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with families and newborns, demonstrating dependability and excellent communication skills. Safety and engagement are the family's top priorities, so they are looking for someone who is safety conscious and fosters a nurturing and stimulating environment through activities like reading, singing, and interactive play. Kindness, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for this role. Comfort with Mom and Dad occasionally working from home, as they both have hybrid schedules, is also important. This individual's responsibilities will include all child-related tasks including providing reliable care, providing guidance around developmental milestones, preparing and sterilizing bottles, doing baby laundry once per week, keeping the nursery clean and organized, and keeping a detailed journal of the baby's eating, sleeping, and diapering habits. Meal prep for their child, once he begins solids, will also be required. Candidates who are open to assisting with meal prep for mom and dad on occasion are a plus! Qualifications 3 years of professional childcare experience Experience with infants High school diploma At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to pass a background check Reliable and insured vehicle Schedule Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week falling on Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Compensation The family is offering $30-$40/hour based upon 40 hours per week which equates to up to $1,200-$1,600/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $62k-$83k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is providing a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, 10 days of paid time off, 5 paid sick days, paid major holidays, mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for on-the-job duties.
