About the job
Seeking a neurodiversity-affirming caregiver for a 10-year-old autistic child. Position includes after-school and some weekend care (up to 30 hours/week at $17. 27/hour), driving to/from appointments, and assisting with some activities of daily living (ADLs). Child is unreliably speaking and enjoys being outside in all weather. Caregiver must be patient, engaged, and committed to a strengths-based, supportive approach. Parents will pay for a 5-hour virtual asynchronous training on working with autistic children in a neurodiversity-affirming manner. Pay is through Medicaid/CCC+ waiver. Parents work from home but will not provide direct supervision during shifts.
