About the job
We are looking for an empathetic and neurodivergent affirming caregiver to help my son with autism navigate a half day preschool program. You would be the person he would turn to for help and who would anticipate his needs and reactions. He needs support navigating big feelings and learning how to respectfully take some space to fulfill sensory needs. We are seeking someone who believes that children are equally valuable members of society as adults and who values creativity and asking questions. Must pass a background check. Our values: compassion and respect for all people. My son is passionate about his bearded dragon, his dog, power wheels, imaginative play, and nature explorations. He loves inventing things with loose parts as well as demolishing or taking apart mechanical things to see how they work and to collect spare parts.
