About the job
We need a PT afternoon caregiver (20-30 hrs/week) for 17-year-old daughter with disabilities. Must have car to drive daughter from school in Tysons to home in Arlington each day. Our daughter is good-natured and easy going. She has epilepsy and communicates using assistive technology; she does not speak. The position involves assisting with daily living skills, supporting communication needs, driving to academic lessons/therapies, providing companion support, meal prep, and aiding with hobbies. We provide lots of support and training, including from physical and speech therapists, so a great opportunity for students interested in those fields. Must be legal to work in the U. S./pay taxes. Must be comfortable with cats!
