I have a 1. 5-year-old son. He is very easy going and happy kid. You would just have to give him his snack and fix him dinner. As well as regular toddler care, diaper changes, juice and milk cup refills. We do have a dog but he stays in the dog room/ laundry area and has access in and out to the dog run. No household chores are expected just to hang out and keep my son happy and occupied.
