About the job
We are looking for someone to care for our son (18 months) Tuesday thru Friday each week. We need childcare support in the afternoons Tues/Thurs and full day support on Wed/Fri. Our son is deaf with cochlear implants. He does not sign, but is learning to speak and listen. We are looking for someone who will join us for his therapy sessions and is willing to implement the strategies they teach into their day to day with him. Our son loves to be out & about and doing activities. He loves being outside, playing at the playground and play places, shopping and more. We are looking for someone who is willing to engage with & talk to him! A lot! Kids learn to speak by hearing spoken language so hearing language & having conversations with him is extremely important! We have a small dog, so must also be comfortable around dogs.
