Our daughter has a rare form of genetic epilepsy called PCDH19 Epilepsy. She can experience breakthrough cluster seizures when she has a virus or fever. She has attended daycare since she was 8 weeks old but due to common viruses causing seizures that require weeks of hospitalizations to stop, we are having to remove her from daycare and reduce exposure to everyday viruses. My husband owns his company and Im a child and adolescent therapist therefore both of us have some flexibility in our schedules where we may go to work later, get off earlier or a little later, occasionally work from home for parts of the day, or need occasional weekend help. We also have a 6-year-old who attends school across the street and care may include walking her home from school or occasional after school care from 4:30-6.
