My granddaughter is 4 years old and was born deaf. She wears cochlear implants, is non-verbal, and has some characteristics of autism (meltdowns, independent player, sensitive to certain nervous system responses). She is also fun-loving, VERY active, and communicates what she wants by leading your hand. For the most part you will help at my daughter's house while she's at work 7:15a-11:30 a.m. (bus comes at 11:10a), and on some days return at 3p-6p. The best fit would be a person that embodies: *Punctual - arrives on time, if not early *Dependable - shows up, and will notify if you're unable to help that day in a timely manner *Experience with non-verbal children *Ability to help with potty-training a 4yo *Experience with meltdowns during transitions. *Experience with cochlear implants (helpful, but can be taught)
