A typical day when D goes to school goes like this: He wakes up, brushes teeth, combs hair and gets dressed. We walk to school by 7:10 am, I pickup him up and we walk home at 3 p.m. Once home, D empties his backpack and gathers homework, books and any important documents. We read for at least 30 minutes each day after school. He works on any other homework hes been given. He puts homework away, tidy up and gets backpack ready for the next day. About 5 pm, I start dinner, we try to eat by 6 p.m. Dishes and clean up from 6-7 p.m. Clean up includes D taking a shower. 7:15 he goes with sitter. 9 p.m. he goes to bed. D is dyslexic and ADHD. He needs help with homework from time to time and often needs reminding to do things. His ADHD is managed with medication and discipline. Any special training or special education is helpful.
