Location: Houston, Texas Start Date: ASAP Children: 4 and 7-year-old girls Compensation: $25-30/hr Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Weekends as requested and as mutually available Family in River Oaks is seeking an afternoon/evening Nanny Manager to provide household management support and consistent care and transportation for their two girls. Before the girls get out of school and need picking up, Nanny Manager will have time for non-childcare related tasks. Childcare duties will include: Prepare children's snacks and meals Tidy common areas and children's areas (e. g., pick up and organize children's rooms and common areas, load/unload dishwasher, wiping down kitchen counters, doing children's laundry), the family has a housekeeper weekdays 7:00am-1:00 p.m. Transport the children from school (excellent driving record required) and take children to/from activities (gymnastics, chess, piano, field hockey) Engage the children in age-appropriate, indoor and outdoor developmental activities such as reading, music, games, toys, arts & crafts (can use Mom's Best Friend's provided weekly themed curriculum), park, backyard, etc. Clean out lunchboxes and backpacks Candidate will be: Proactive and able to anticipate the needs of the family Detail oriented to keep the household running smoothly Experienced with pre-school and school-age children Active, energetic, and outdoorsy Caring, patient, and kind Reliable and punctual Fast-thinking with good judgment Flexible to help out some mornings when parents are traveling Willing to travel with the family roughly once/quarter (passport is a plus, but it is typically domestic) Bonus: evening and weekend hours are occasionally available if desired Bonus: Bilingual French There are no pets and both parents work full-time and travel frequently. When they are not traveling, they work from home.
