My 6-year-old daughter has high functioning autism and gets overwhelmed easily. If she cant think of the word we ask her to try to explain what it is shes thinking of by naming pictures or any sort of clue in order to figure it out together. She asks for coffee which is chocolate milk warmed up. Shes shy but warms up to people quickly.
