Location: Cedar Park, Texas Start Date: ASAP Children: male 10/2024 (back-up care only for 4-year-old in school) Compensation: $30-35/hr Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:30am-2:30pm "Our two children, a 4 year old and a 4 month old are the brightest of lights. Our 4 year old is silly and creative and is in preschool most of the day, while the 4 month old is the happiest baby (seriously, just make eye contact and you get the biggest cheese) who is just getting to the really fun age where giggles are endless and they are learning to sleep more independently. As we both work from home, we are looking for a caregiver who can help us to care for our baby and make sure he is meeting all of his milestones while we get in some solid working hours. As a mom who desperately wants to be able to juggle everything on my own, but has been unsuccessful at adding more hours into a day, I realize that to give my kids everything I want in this life, I need to have some help during these critical working hours. Our family lives out of state and so far in our four years as parents, we haven't had to bring someone in to help. So we are looking for someone who can give our little one all the smiles, giggles and interaction they deserve while being open to Mom sneaking away from her desk, when she can, to share in meal times or see what adorable thing the baby is doing." Family in Cedar Park is seeking a Nanny to care for their baby while they work. They have a four-year-old who is in school and will only require back-up care as needed. Duties include: Provide all care, including dressing, changing, feeding/preparing child's meals, putting down for naps, etc. Engage the baby in indoor and outdoor, age-appropriate activities to hit developmental milestones, such as tummy time, books, music, walks, play, games, park, activities, etc. Keeping the common areas and baby's areas tidy (e.g., wiping down counters, loading/unloading dishwasher, clean/sterilize bottles, doing child's laundry), regularly cleaning and putting away toys Keeping supplies stocked and letting employer know when things are getting low Back-up care for older child Candidate will be: Experienced, confident, and capable with newborns through preschool-age children Caring, patient, nurturing, and loving Dependable and punctual Proactive, with a positive, can-do attitude Structured, able to follow a daily routine An excellent communicator Welcoming of involved parents who both work from home and would love to spend time with the baby as they can (will coordinate with Nanny so as not to disturb a routine) Comfortable with cats - the family has two Both adults work full-time from home. Benefits: 8 days of vacation per year, up to 4 days of sick time 8 paid holidays (if they fall on a work day): New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
