A growing family in Circle C (78739) is seeking a full-time nanny to provide loving and attentive care for their children. The position primarily entails care of a toddler (20mo) and an infant, as they are expecting a new addition in early April. The family is seeking a nanny available to begin mid/end of March, though there is some flexibility with start date. Flexibility regarding schedule is crucial for this position, as the hours will vary significantly as the family adjusts to life with a newborn and toddler, and will typically include a split schedule that includes a four hour unpaid break in the middle of the day (7:30am-12:30 p.m. and 4:30pm-7:30pm). It is crucial that all applicants understand flexibility, evening availability, and Saturday availability are paramount for this position. The schedule will likely continue to shift further based on the baby's needs and the parents' work schedules. The nanny will be responsible for newborn and toddler care, preparing meals for the children, light housekeeping, and occasional overnight care when the parents are away. Candidates must have at least two years of paid childcare experience, excellent references, the ability to work in the U. S. on a W-2 basis, and fluency in English. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, safe and reliable transportation, and experience caring for both infants and toddlers together are required. The position also requires either an up-to-date TDAP vaccine or a willingness to obtain one, as well as CPR and first aid certification or a willingness to become certified.
