Location: Austin, Texas Start Date: ASAP Children: 5 children (ages 11-18) Compensation: $30-35/hr Schedule: Monday - Thursday 1:00pm-6:00 p.m. (20 hours) Meet the Family: "We are a busy family with two working parents and five teenage/tween age kids. We need extra help with laundry and meal prep, and we need a backstop to help drive kids on Tuesday/Thursday or rainy days. We have a small dog and a house cat, but both are very sweet." Family in Northwest Hills is seeking a Family Manager who will provide household support to their family. They have 5 children (ages 11-18) who do not need childcare, but with two working parents and Dad traveling quite a bit, the family is in need of assistance to keep their home running smoothly. Duties include: Tidy common areas and children's areas including wiping down counters, doing dishes, children's laundry and linens (the family has a bi-weekly cleaner for deep cleaning) Keep groceries (particularly for planned meals) and household supplies stocked, run errands as needed (grocery shopping, post office, returns, etc.) Meal prep - chop, wash, follow a recipe and put ingredients together for a casserole, crockpot, etc. Occasional child transportation Organizational projects Candidate will be: Flexible, with a sense of humor, doesn't get easily flustered in a busy household Kind and patient Responsible and punctual Detail-oriented and organized Proactive, with a positive, can-do attitude Friendly and personable with the children An excellent communicator Comfortable with pets - the family has a small dog (20 pound bernedoodle) and house cat (12 pounds), there are no pet duties, except occasionally opening the door to let the dog in/out Both parents work full-time, with Dad traveling frequently and Mom working from home 2-3 days/week and in the office the other days.
