Seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced individual to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and implement engaging lessons for preschool-aged children that can be utilized next fall, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and physical coordination.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment to encourage students' growth and development.
Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behaviors, and any developmental concerns.
Assessments: Regularly assess and document children's progress and tailor activities to meet individual needs.
Health & Safety: Ensure all children's health and safety requirements are met, including proper handwashing, snacks, and bathroom assistance.
Lesson Planning: Help OT design and implement creative lessons that introduce various media and sensory input such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and crafts, appropriate for young children, foster's gross motor and fine motor coordination and strengthening, as well as social skills development.
Hands-On Activities: Foster creativity by encouraging children to explore their imagination while developing fine motor and gross motor skills.
Classroom Organization: Set up the classroom with the necessary supplies, ensuring a safe and organized space for creative activities.
Encouragement: Provide positive reinforcement, support, and guidance to children as they experiment
Camp Curriculum: Help other camp instructors develop and execute a variety of weekly camp themes and activities, including arts and crafts, nature exploration, sports, music, and storytelling.
Safety & Supervision: Ensure all children are supervised during activities, maintaining safety standards for both indoor and outdoor settings.
Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respectful play among children.
Team Collaboration: Work with other camp staff to coordinate group activities and support a team-oriented environment for both children and staff.
