Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing environment for their growth and development. The age range of children accepted into the center is 18 months (walking toddlers) to 11 years. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for leading age-appropriate, enriching activities in the tech-free activity center. Must be a team player and work collaboratively with the Director and other staff members to ensure children are safe, stimulated in positive ways, or relaxing contently while in our care.
Think Lounge Nurture Center practices small Teacher to Child ratios and the Director is also in the room at all times and will be a hands-on part of daily operation!
Responsibilities:
- Treat Children with compassion and respect at all times
- Implement curriculum that has been pre developed for the appropriate age group
- Maintain a Clean and Safe environment at all times
Skills:
- Knowledge of child welfare and development
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with curriculum development and classroom management techniques
- Understanding of behavior management strategies (Primarily validation of feelings and redirection)
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is a plus
Requirements:
Highschool Diploma or Higher Level education
Food handlers
CPR Certified
