My older child has a cognitive and speech delay but loves playing with his sister and other kids. Sometimes if stimulation is high in the environment, he needs some time to retreat and may react if he feels overwhelmed. Both children love being outside, art, activities, and generally playing together. Their ideal day is playing outside in the morning, doing crafts or playing with toys or puzzles, going to a park or playing on their playground in the back yard. They eat at 11:30 every day and nap from 12 p.m. until 2:30 at which point wed be able to take over after work.
