My 5-year-old in undergoing treatment for ALL (leukemia). Because of her compromised immune system, she can no longer go to preschool. She needs to be encouraged to drink water throughout the day and must brush her teeth multiple times a day plus get a bath everyday. She is not always excited to do these activities. She is also adopted from foster care and her trauma and personality demand a lot of adult attention. My 2-year-old is her biological half sister and is still in foster care. The girls don't get a long very well and need a lot of redirection with how they treat one another. There is definitely a lot of competition for attention.
