This job is a split shift role, 6-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday with additional hours needed when the local school district has early dismissals. The Kid's Korner Shift Supervisor or group supervisor directly reports to the Children's Programs Director and is responsible to Church Council and Congregational Pastor. The Kid's Korner Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership with the help of the Leadership Team and staff. The Shift Supervisor will assist the Director with setting goals, planning activities, and building an equipped team to serve the program. This position will be hourly and work no more than 30 hours per week Monday-Friday. Weekend hours may also be required depending on programs and events, very rarely. As part of the leadership team, the supervisor will assist the Director with all aspects of the Kid's Korner program, including the development of a daily schedule, the supervisor will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising staff in the Director's absence, ensuring the smooth operation of the program. Additionally, the manager will oversee the opening and closing of the facility each day and serve as a welcoming presence for new children and families, helping to orient them to the program. The supervisor will also promote the program within the community, maintain necessary certification in CPR, First Aid, and all state-mandated training, and ensure compliance with Pennsylvania childcare guidelines to maintain the state license. Furthermore, the manager will supervise children's activities, including homework, games, and crafts, to ensure a safe and enriching environment. Requirements: College degree or CDA. Possess at least two years of experience working with children. Be at least 21 years of age. Have all state mandated clearances.
