RGPD is looking for a caring and energetic Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. This position is for an 7:00AM start and ends at 3:00PM. Our students arrive early and ready to learn. You will be working with an excellent, dedicated teams with years of experience. Our Lead Infant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. You will verbally engage the infants throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. You will maintain the feeding schedule with the bottles and solids as well as provide much needed stimulation. Responsibilities for Infant Teacher
Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in care
Bottle feed infants
Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents
Change diapers as needed
Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
Supervise infants as they play with age appropriate toys
Put infants in cribs for nap time
Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
Complete monthly progress reports that document milestones
Positively communicate with parents regarding Infant's progress
Maintain a positive relationship with all RGPD Staff, Students and Parents
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Requirements:
Associate's degree or bachelor's degree considered a plus
2-5 years of childcare experience
CDA preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Be of good character and reputation
Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties satisfactorily
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children
Must speak English well enough to communicate with children, staff, management, and parents
Must be able to read and write English well enough to prepare, complete, and maintain administrative forms and records as required by current governmental regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of child growth and development
Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by the state of Pennsylvania
Must have CPR training
