My son has bronchopulmonary dysplasia. He requires close monitoring, medication and strict routine. He can't be around anyone that is sick or has been exposed to someone else that's sick. He's been in the hospital from birth and is used to a 3 hour routine of diaper change, feeding and general vitals. He loves his binkie and mobile, hates baths and diaper changes. His sleeping habits vary, sometimes a power nap, other times he'll sleep for a solid hour or more. Because of his lung disability we don't believe in the "cry it out" method so attentiveness is required. The ability to listen to him and identify normal breathing sounds is also a requirement as well as not wearing any perfume as he's prone to asthma.
