You will work alongside a 19-year-old young man with intellectual disabilities and autism. He has goals of increasing his independence and socializing. As staff, you will assist/ provide reminders for daily living activities (ADLs) such as hygiene routines, grooming, and meal preparation. You'll provide transportation to community activities and help him explore new hobbies and interests. You will encourage and teach independent living skills like organizing personal items, using assistive technology, and making decisions. Additionally, you will be an active participant in activities that develop his social skills, including karaoke, puzzles, and art projects. Experience with autism is required. Additional hours may be available for the right person!
