We are looking for a family assistant that is a great fit for our particular family. There are four of us in our house - two parents, one who works from home, a 2. 5 yr old girl and a large dog. Daughter: We have a 2. 5 yr old who attends daycare full time. We'd like help looking after her once or twice a week, once during the week between 5-7 p.m. (flexible here) and once on the weekend for 3-4 hours (flexible again). Our daughter loves playing, art, being outside, cooking with you, reading, etc. She's a toddler through and through and we love spending that time together. Dog: We also have a 70 pound, 5-year-old dog and the right fit for us will be a person who is able to work with our dog trainer to establish a good relationship with our dog. He is initially fearful of strangers and other dogs and is slow to warm up. But once he is acclimated, he is playful, sleepy, and a lovable friend. We need someone who can integrate into our home fully, including being a trusted person for our dog. So much the better if you are open to house sitting and dog sitting when we go away occasionally, or are open to traveling with our family on occasion on trips. The right fit for us is a person who can participate in weekly training sessions with our dog trainer first, and incorporate once weekly walks for the dog. This is a long term commitment since we invest in each person who wants to be part of our family. We are flexible on start date and time. Over the course of the year, we expect to need additional support with the opportunity to increase hours to 30 hours a week. We're looking for an extra set of hands to act as a partner in our home and a caretaker for our child and dog. We live in Media near Linvilla.
