Just needing someone to give them snacks, make sure their homework is done, and make sure they're playing safely. I work 5 minutes down the road for emergencies. Respect, integrity and GENUINE kindness. We just moved up from Georgia about a year ago and those are the core values I was raised on, and they have been raised on. E. loves anything with sports, especially baseball. He loves sports because he knows the point is to improve and have fun. He appreciates seeing the results of his practice and uses those results as an initiative for self-improvement. He loves video games but knows when he needs to take a break. N. is your textbook girly girl. She loves having her hair done, nails, playing with dolls, and adores anything fuzzy with whiskers. She also likes to play the occasional video games with her brother, but unlike E - she does NOT know when to take a break, but E. usually convinces her to take a break to play. Really, we just need a trusted adult to watch them from when they're dropped off from the bus, to when I get home from work. I'm pretty good about leaving on time so I'm home usually 5:10 - but on occasion as late as 5:30. General kindness, upbeat attitude, and the ability to use critical thinking if, God forbid, an emergency arises. Nothing really unique. They must know that putting their hands on my children in any aggressive manor is absolutely forbidden. They should be able to direct the kiddos to their snack, homework, picking up after themselves and then they can just hang out. There is parking, that isn't an issue whatsoever. 2 pets Gibson | 11-Year-old | Sheppard Mix | Hyper if you play fetch, but pretty lazy, snuggly and old besides that. He does bark at basically anything that he sees/hears outside that doesn't belong (maybe 1-3 times an hour he will bark a couple of times). Gibson roams freely inside, but if he notices that he is outside and no one is paying attention, he will slip away and explode for a bit. Luna | 3 years old | Husky/Sheppard Mix | goofy, hyper, cuddles when she gets her energy out. She has a very nice kennel that she stays in while we're at work or if it's time for bed. If left outside, she will run for hours until she gets worn out. You'll have to put up with Gibson asking for pets - but would not be responsible for taking care of the dogs at all.
