My husband is taking me to the school to celebrate my 40th birthday and spend the night at the hotel for the night. We have never left our son with anyone other than family, and even then it was only for a few hours never overnight but this is a special occasion and he is old enough now that it won't be an issue. He is only in 1st grade, so he very seldom has any homework, but if for some reason he does have some that weekend we will have it already done before you get here, so you won't have to worry about that at all.
