One of my oldest daughters is high functioning ASD. While she can be social and communicate well, there are times she gets stuck in cycled thinking. Disruption and distraction work well, as well as having her be the helper. All our girls love arts and crafts, imaginative play, and movie nights. Structured activities always work better for these three than free play
