Description:
A family in Hudson, OH is seeking a long-term, confident, and skillful household manager/nanny to help care for their home and 2 sons ages 6 & 9.
Their 9-year-old son is a caring, bright and insightful young boy with a knack for remembering everything you say. He understands and processes things well beyond his years. Outspoken, inquisitive, and full of curiosity, he thrives in conversations and loves to share his thoughts. He enjoys video games, board games, and soccer, channeling his sharp mind and energetic spirit into both play and sports.
Their 6-year-old son is a natural athlete with a reserved and independent personality. While initially shy, he has quiet confidence and tends to internalize his thoughts. Once he warms up, his enthusiasm for games, active play, and soccer shines through.
Both boys are lively, balancing their days with structured schoolwork, sports, and plenty of physical activity. They thrive on routine but also appreciate the flexibility to explore their interests and embrace new experiences.
This dynamic dual-surgeon household is led by family-oriented parents who hold high expectations for their children, valuing structure, discipline, and a well-rounded upbringing. They prioritize raising polite, considerate, well-mannered children who embrace curiosity, experience life beyond four walls and screens, and learn the importance of completing responsibilities before enjoying playtime.
The family cherishes quality time together, whether enjoying outdoor adventures, sharing meals, playing cards and games, or watching movies. They travel approximately seven weeks per year. With two canine companions-a Bernese Mountain Dog and an Australian Cattle Dog-being comfortable around large dogs and assisting with pet care (including walks, feeding, potty breaks, and transportation for grooming/veterinary care) is essential.
They are seeking a professional and adaptable candidate to guide their sons while seamlessly managing and maintaining a well-organized home. The ideal individual is disciplined, confident, an effective communicator, comfortable in setting boundaries with children, and capable of delivering consistently high standards. You'll take the lead in organizing their day with a thoughtful balance of structured activities and free time, managing daily routines, ensuring they are safe, happy, and active, and ensuring homework is completed and reading is done before school. The family is seeking a candidate with a "get-it-done" personality who is direct, proactive, professional, reliable, and capable in their approach with excellent communication skills. Given the parents' schedules, the candidate should be flexible with occasional evening, weekend, or on-call care, effortlessly handling changes while keeping open lines of communication. While not a requirement, candidates who have a musical background and /or speak Spanish are encouraged to apply.
In addition to all child-related tasks, candidates will also be responsible for house work, general home organization, errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, managing/coordinating the family calendar, and laundry. Candidates should thrive in a dynamic environment, seamlessly managing household responsibilities, and ensuring everything runs smoothly while parents are at work. Confidence and a calm, organized approach to juggling tasks are key to succeeding in this role.
