A nurturing family residing in Akron, Ohio is on the lookout for an experienced family assistant/nanny to care for their children, ages 4 years old and 17 months old, and their home. Their 4-year-old son is outgoing, energetic, and full of curiosity. He's talkative, friendly, bright, and independent. He knows what he wants and loves staying active. He enjoys anything involving a ball, playing with cars, superhero make-believe, and reading books. While he has mild asthma, it's well-managed, and he hasn't needed his rescue inhaler since November 2024. If he starts coughing a lot, the nanny would assist with the inhaler-but he's a pro at using it himself, too! Their 17-month-old daughter is happy, smiley, and always on the move. She's becoming more independent and loves being active. Snuggly and affectionate, she's also a great eater! She enjoys playing with cars, balls, toddler toys, and books, especially anything that involves putting objects inside things, and in true younger sibling fashion, following her big brother's lead. Both children are in school for the majority of the day and the candidate will assist in after-school pick up. Mom and Dad prioritize a loving and nurturing environment, giving their children the space to learn, grow, and process their emotions while stepping in when needed. They strive to be a safe and supportive presence for their kids while fostering mutual respect and implementing time out when it's necessary. As a family they love staying active-whether it's bike rides, hikes, swimming, or just playing outside together. They enjoy cozy game nights, reading stories, movie nights, dance parties in the living room, and cheering on their favorite sports teams and trips to the playground are a regular favorite. With thoughts of adding a furry friend to the mix, being pet-friendly is a must. Their ideal candidate is a highly experienced and confident childcare provider who is proactive, emotionally intelligent, and attuned to their family's needs. In this dynamic role, responsibilities will encompass all aspects of childcare, including planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, handling school transportation, preparing nutritious meals and snacks, and managing the child's laundry. Additional duties will include ordering household supplies, errands, grocery shopping and stocking, light meal preparation and cooking, as well as general tidying and organization to maintain a well-organized home. Qualifications 3 years of professional childcare experience Experience as a Family Assistant or Household Manager High school diploma At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Clean driving record Authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to pass a background check Reliable and insured vehicle Pet friendly CPR Certified First aid trained Schedule Part-time, guaranteeing 25 hours per week. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to stay an additional 30 minutes. Compensation The family is offering $38-$45/hour based upon 25 hours per week which equates to up to $950 to $1,125/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $49k-$58k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. Benefits The family is offering 5 days of paid time off, 3 paid sick days, paid major holidays, mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate, and a retention bonus.
